AGODCO’S STEALTH TO DEVELOP BAHRAIN’S AWALI FIELD

To redevelop the Bahrain mature Awali field, the Bahrain Government formed a new Joint Venture company, “Tatweer Petroleum” owned by OXY, Mubadala Petroleum and Noga Holdings. The challenge? To increase oil production by drilling new wells, implementing new technologies such as Stealth-Lock pipeline construction and testing advanced Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) pilots. With over 350km of new gathering network constructed in 14 months, AGODCO’s, Stealth-Lock subsidiary set the course for further Middle East expansion.

STEALTH-LOCK ROLLOUT FOR PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OMAN

After more than two years of tenacious investment, testing, training, validation, approval and commercial negotiations, PDO and AGODCO’s Stealth-Lock ink the agreement to rollout the Stealth-Lock Technology as a value engineering, In-Country-Value vendor on the PDO North Directorate, Off-plot Delivery Contract (ODC). “Stealth-Lock will bring substantial In-Country-Value to Oman” says PDO Managing Director, Raoul Restucci pictured with AGODCO CEO, Adam Harcourt.

The Oman Undersecretary of Oil & Gas, H.E. Salim Al Aufi, catches up with Adam Harcourt, AGODCO CEO at the Oil & Gas Exhibition in March. Coincidentally, it was in 2012 when H.E. AGODCO TEAM LANDS IN ARGENTINA FOR FIELD TRIALS

AGODCO Stealth-Lock inked the “Phase One Field Trial” deal for its flagship pipe connection technology with one of the largest tubular goods manufacturers in the world. The equipment and technical team including AGODCO Group’s CEO, land in Argentina to roll-out the project.

The project objective is to qualify and validate with as many Argentinian hydrocarbon operators as possible, including the national operator; YPF.

AGODCO CONSOLIDATES HEAVY EQUIPMENT DESIGN & FABRICATION IN ABU DHABI

The strategy for consolidation of AGODCO’s R&D, industrial design, fabrication, manufacturing, and maintenance kicked off with a major investment at ICAD III, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

“Our intention is to centralize and concentrate our group-wide industrial design knowledge base into one physical location to achieve world-beating products and services” said Group COO, Terry Antoniadis.

AGODCO not only manufactures its pipe connection technology Stealth-Lock at this facility, it also designs and develops heavy hydraulic equipment such as Catwalks, Conveyors, Rig-Walking systems, powerpacks and much more for a range of customers including international hydrocarbon operators.

STEALTH-LOCK “BLU-BOX” TELEMETRICS DEVELEPOMENT

AGODCO begins beta-testing of its “Blu-Box” telemetric application. Running through Stealth-Lock pipeline operations, the purpose is to develop an operator and end-user application that captures real-time data, including imagery, GPS position, pressing pressures, insertion depths and much more.

Once completed, it is envisaged that client operators will literally be able to observe real-time production progress during the construction of pipelines. They will also be able to track materials, with traceability for quality and safety purposes. It is envisaged, that once the Stealth-Lock pipeline is completed, the client would simply print the “As-Built” final construction drawing for the completed project.

AGODCO & TENARIS INK STEALTH-LOCK LATIN AMERICA CONTRACT

After 4 years of relationship development, field trials, end-user qualifications and contractual negotiations, AGODCO and TENARIS, one of the worlds largest tubular goods manufacturers, inked their deal. The agreement is to roll-out and develop Stealth-Lock mechanical interference fit products and services across Latin America through the broad stable of manufacturing outlets that TENARIS owns and operates in the region.

“I believe the deal could be a blockbuster for both companies” said AGODCO Group CEO, Adam Harcourt. He continued: …if delivered as a full, vertically integrated product and service, client productivity increases whilst, costs decrease. With this, carbon steel is here to stay, giving greater value and confidence compared to immature emerging materials and systems for pipe connection”.

We listened to our end-users, technicians, operations engineers, and we settled on developing Mechanical Interference Fit technology for the 21st century. With fully automated prepping facilities, the NewGen Stealth-Lock system removes hazard and risk as it minimizes workforce “hands-on” processing. The data capture features, enable evaluation of each joint whether real-time or postproduction. In the field, the Stealth-Lock Assembly Machines are semi-automated, and this not only makes the work-zone safer, but it also ensures quality and integrity verification on each and every connection.
